After a 12 year adventure at Sotheby’s in New York surrounded by inspiring works of art and a brilliant group of colleagues, I took a leap in pursuit of a creative path. My work ever since as an artist, illustrator, jewelry designer and creative director have led me to my mission to share creativity as a valuable wellness practice at Daily Creative. I live in New York City with my husband, two amazing boys, a dog and two cats, and try to be creative every day.

artist

Making art is my passion and I’m especially into painting and printmaking. When my kids were old enough to be in school full time, I enrolled in the New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting & Sculpture and dove back into creating full force, showing and selling my work.

creative DIRECTOR

Before co-founding Daily Creative with Blythe Harris in 2021, I liaised on some amazing projects that involved design, branding, creative direction, concepting collections, prop styling, video production, website direction, marketing and social media. Clients included Sotheby’s Diamonds & James de Givenchy of Taffin, The Wedding List Company, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Stella & Dot, Sailormade, and a digital media start-up.

jewelry designer

I launched my namesake jewelry business in 2004 after making a few pieces for myself that kept selling to friends. I went back to school for metal working, wax carving and casting. My designs were sold internationally, included in an American Vogue editorial, and featured on the cover of a Phillips Jewels auction in London. In 2010, I participated in an exhibition at The Museum of Art & Design in New York of emerging jewelry artists from around the world, chosen by the museum’s curators. When my second son was born in 2011, I streamlined the business to focus on being a mom.

illustrator

I worked as an artist and illustrator after leaving Sotheby’s when a dream opportunity led me to be chosen to create 60 watercolor illustrations for a book by Random House. This project was very special to me because it launched my career as an artist. I also did illustration for magazines, and corporate and individual commissions. I continued to work as an artist while studying jewelry and creating my namesake jewelry business.

teacher

Some of the most rewarding opportunities I’ve had involved teaching, including leading a class at Parson’s School of Design affiliate in Altos de Chavon in the Dominican Republic. I loved it and am excited to continue teaching the value of engaging in creative play through Daily Creative.
